Job Title : Project Manager ( Electric Operations Enterprise Assessment management)
Contract Duration : 12+ Months
Pay rate : Upto $90/hr
Location : Oakland, CA
Work Type : Remote

Job Description:

Are you a seasoned project manager with a proven track record in electric operations and utility projects? Join our team as a Senior Project Manager and lead complex initiatives to drive innovation and efficiency.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will:

• Manage Large-Scale Projects: Oversee multiple complex projects with budgets exceeding $5 million and teams of 10+ FTEs.
• Optimize Resource Allocation: Collaborate with PMO leadership to ensure efficient resource utilization.
• Determine Budgets and Staffing: Develop budgets and staffing plans for business cases.
• Conduct Performance Reviews: Submit PMA and PM performance assessments for project stage, mid-year, and year-end reviews.
• Provide SME Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert for project methodologies and financial analytics.
• Mentor PMs: Actively mentor and guide PMs and PMAs.

Required Skills:

• Electric Operations Experience: Proven experience in electric operations within a utility environment.
• Asset Work Management: Expertise in managing distribution pole, transmission tower, and substation assets.
• Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in SAP PM, SAP EAM, GIS, AWS, or other cloud services.
• Interconnection Experience: Experience with electric generation interconnection and new business connection processes.
• Project Management: 8+ years of experience in IT project management, with a focus on staffing and resource management.
• Tool Proficiency: Proficiency in PDM and PPMC tools.
• Team Management: Experience managing 30+ FTEs as part of a single 12+ month project.
• Project Experience: Experience with 5+ projects ($5M labor each) and 5+ PMAs.
• Analytical Skills: Proficiency in client satisfaction metrics, project statistical analysis, and variance analysis.

Additional Skills:

• Estimating: Ability to accurately estimate project costs and resources.
• Scope and Risk Management: Experience in managing project scope and identifying potential risks.
• QA Reviews: Proficiency in conducting QA reviews and inspections.
• Certification: PMI Project Management Professional certification or equivalent.
