Full time, includes a weekend and holiday rotation.

Licensed Nursing Home Administrator responsibilities:

  • Assists in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and directing the day-to-day functions of the facility, its programs and activities to ensure quality care and create positive customer relations and customer satisfaction.
  • Establishes and maintains all regulatory requirements in accordance with local, state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Continually promotes teamwork via effective leadership and team-oriented approaches to the entire facility.
  • Manages employees in the provision of care and services in accordance with federal and state regulations while maintaining a person-centered care approach consistent with the Residents’ Rights of the facility.
  • Directs the recruitment, hiring, orientation, training, development and discipline of qualified staff
  • Oversees facility operations and coordinates departmental organization, management and resource allocation to meet the organization’s objectives.
  • Maintains expenses and works closely with the management team so that the facility, in its entirety, is operating within budgetary guideline.
  • Promotes relationships with referral sources in the hospitals and surrounding community.
  • Participates in quality assurance programs and conducts audits to ensure facility regulatory compliance.
  • Makes certain that administrative coverage is provided within the facility at all times in coordination with the DON.
  • Ensures that effective and excellent communication systems are established and implemented.
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with pertinent regulatory agencies and provides accurate, timely plans of correction and other information as requested/required.
  • Maintains, and continually improves, Customer Satisfaction for both residents and co-workers.

Licensed Nursing Home Administrator qualifications:

  • Five years of administrative experience in healthcare facility.
  • Bachelor’s degree in administration, business, minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration, or nursing and fulfillment of Nursing Home Administrator requirements.
  • Hold a current Nursing Home Administrator’s License in PA or hold a NHA from another state, and be eligible for licensure in PA in the immediate future.
  • Have acquired some advanced training in nursing home administration through workshops and seminars.
  • Must be dependable, kind, sympathetic, and respectful, and otherwise demonstrate good judgment concerning the rights of others.
  • Must be able to work and communicate effectively with others.
  • Able to manage, supervise, lead, direct, plan, coordinate, staff, develop and make decisions independently.
