Join our surgery team in an onsite First Assistant role, where youll play a crucial part in ensuring precision, efficiency, and optimal patient outcomes in the operating room. This is an exciting contract opportunity with a solid schedule, valuable benefits, and exposure to specialized procedures.

• Consistent Work Schedule : 40 hours per week with a 4-day/10-hour shift, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

What Youll Be Doing:

• Assist in Surgery : Provide direct support to surgeons during procedures, ensuring the best exposure and patient safety.

• Patient Positioning : Position patients effectively, using stabilizing equipment as needed for maximum comfort and surgical access.

• Operative Site Management : Maintain clear visibility of the surgical site, handle tissue, retract, sponge, suction, and irrigate as necessary.

• Hemostasis and Closure : Use appropriate techniques to manage bleeding and assist in closing body planes and applying dressings.

• Room Clean-Up and Prep : Participate in room preparation and turnover, handling supplies, soiled materials, and setup for subsequent cases.

Requirements:

• Experience as an RN First Assistant : Specifically with skills in neuro, vascular, orthopedic, and outpatient procedures.

• Familiarity with XI DaVinci (preferred).

• Call Shift Flexibility : Willingness to take on 4-6 overnight shifts every six weeks and one weekend shift every six weeks.

• Holiday Shifts : Available for required holiday rotations.
