Salary:
Bartel Communications is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our leading landscaping and land management company Southern LandWrx as an Entry Level Equipment Operator / Groundhand.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who possess a strong work ethic, determination to succeed, and is passionate about operating various equipment and performing general grounds maintenance duties to ensure the highest level of service to our clients.
The applicant will be requested to demonstrate their skills during the interview process, and proficiency in safely operating heavy equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain equipment, including mowers, tractors, skid-steers, and other landscape machinery.
- Follow instructions and work orders to perform lawn care, tree maintenance, and general landscaping tasks.
- Perform routine inspections and maintain equipment to ensure optimal functionality of all equipment to minimize downtime.
- Participate in loading, unloading, and transporting materials using equipment, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Follow established protocols for waste disposal and recycling efforts on job sites.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and equipment storage locations.
- Adhere to company policies and regulations, showcasing professionalism and a positive work ethic.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while operating equipment and carrying out manual tasks.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- A valid driver's license is required.
- A clean driving record (MVR).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
- CDL Required .
- 2 Years experience in equipment operation and/or grounds maintenance is required.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to efficiently complete assigned tasks
- Basic understanding of landscape tools and machinery
- Physical stamina to work in various weather conditions and lift heavy objects when required
- Knowledge of safety guidelines and ability to adhere to them at all times
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
