KPG has partnered with a thriving construction company. They are seeking an experienced  Construction Accountant with a strong background in AIA billing forms and Sage 100 software. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of construction accounting practices, including job costing, billing, and contract management. This role will involve preparing financial reports, managing construction project finances, and ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards.

Pay : $65,000-$85,000 per year

Shift : Monday- Friday 8:00 am- 5:00 pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage AIA billing forms, ensuring accurate and timely submission.
• Utilize  Sage 100software for financial tracking, job costing, and reporting.
• Maintain accurate records of project finances, including cost allocations, change orders, and budget adjustments.
• Assist with financial reporting and reconciliation, including month-end and year-end close.
• Monitor project budgets and provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all accounting standards and company policies.
• Assist in managing accounts payable/receivable and payroll related to construction projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to resolve billing and financial discrepancies.
• Prepare financial reports for management, including forecasts, profit/loss statements, and cash flow projections.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Construction Accountant with a focus on AIA billing forms.
• Proficiency in  Sage 100or similar construction accounting software.
• Strong understanding of construction accounting principles, including job costing and contract management.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and vendors.
• Familiarity with construction contracts and change order processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
• Extensive experience in the construction industry, particularly with AIA billing and job costing.
