Job Description
This position supports the Business Systems Manager in maintaining and improving key business applications. While the primary focus will be on Payroll and Business Intelligence systems, the role also involves cross-training and supporting other areas within the business applications team, such as HRIS, Artistic Planning, and CRM, to ensure comprehensive team coverage. Key responsibilities include liaising with end users, maintaining application structures, tracking and resolving issues, conducting quality assurance testing, and managing report distributions.
Primary Responsibilities - Primary Systems - MetOpera Payroll System, SAP Analytics Cloud:
- Perform quality assurance testing and maintain test plans
- Write bug reports and enhancement requests for third-party developers
- Develop user and system documentation
- Maintain application structures and manage report distributions
- Assist Timekeepers throughout weekly payroll cycle
- Secondary Systems - Infor Lawson, MetOS, HDTracking, Tessitura:
- Support maintenance and troubleshooting efforts
- Support Finance department with monthly and yearly processes such as Revenue Sharing
- User Support :
- Manage user roles and deliver training for new users
- Serve as the first point of contact for department inquiries and updates
- Development Initiatives:
- Contribute to requirements gathering and system design for new initiatives
Skills and Qualifications - 2-5 years system development and system support experience
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Ability to understand and communicate complex business requirements
- Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning software (SAP or Infor is a plus)
- Familiarity with report writing (SQL and Crystal Reports is a plus)
- High proficiency in SQL and database management/structure
- Familiarity with webapp dev tools/environments (Ex: Tomcat, Java, IntelliJ)
- Ability to work a defined set of onsite core hours that support payroll operations (fixed weekly schedule due to union collective bargaining agreements)
- Ability to work flexible remote hours to help resolve any critical system issues that could prevent users from meeting mandatory compliance deadlines
- Detailed knowledge of Unions and Opera not required, but a plus
$70,000 - $85,000 a year
